Under the direction of the Superintendent, leads the education division in the planning,development, implementation, delivery, and evaluation of instructional programs for allpreK-6 students; provides decisive, dynamic leadership and supervision of preK-6curriculum and instruction, including special education, state and federal categoricalprograms, pupil services, early childhood education, program evaluation, and staffdevelopment; fosters continuous school improvement in academic content standards andassessment, teaching and learning, professional development, parent engagement, andgovernance and funding; ensures compliance with policies, practices and procedures;supervises and evaluates the performance of assigned personnel.
