In this role, you will work collaboratively with peers and may be called upon for operations and oversight of an entire technology infrastructure, including its effectiveness, efficiency, and secure operation.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Assists in solving problems and supports users on high performance computing needs, including storage and networked applications.
Monitors and supports IT infrastructure and network activities which may include data storage platform infrastructure, backup systems, authentication systems.
Provides infrastructure assessment through modeling, simulation and assists on consulting with users on unique needs.
Monitors systems performance in accordance with defined uptime performance; provides recommendations and solutions.
Performs the installation and day-to-day management of storage management and backup software and hardware.
Manages upgrade and license renewals.
May assist management in assessing business needs and determining ways to support business requirements including, supporting the creating of the annual IT budget.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Bachelorâ™s degree in a technical discipline such as Computer Science or relevant field, plus four years of experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience.
Knowledge of Windows and Linux/Operating System, Web Servers, Technologies, Ghost/Image Technologies, Windows Server 2000, 2003, and 2008, Linux/Unix, Virtualization Technologies, Windows XP, Vista.

Salary Range
$65,900.00 - $112,700.00 / AnnuallyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
