Under general direction of the Superintendent, the Assistant Superintendent position is responsible for providing leadership and management to all the divisions of Recreation to include: Recreation Facilities and Programs, Special Facilities and Programs, Aquatics, Athletics, Adaptive, Adult Leisure, Outdoor Adventure, Evaluations, and Community Events.  The Assistant Superintendent will be responsible for strategic facility and program planning, implementing action plans, standards of operations, developing strong sustainable relationships with community stakeholders and building a cross functional team that works together to deliver quality recreation innovative programs parish wide, to achieve objectives following BREC’s Master Plan.  The incumbent will have 5-6 dire
