This position has the primary responsibilities of providing A & N Electric Cooperative with IT systems administration, assisting with first level and second level technical support, and assisting in supporting the infrastructure of Information Technology and Operational Technology systems, ensuring reliability, security, and optimal operation.
Objectives:
Promote and adhere to Cooperative safety and operating rules, procedures, and guidelines.
Provide IT systems administration for Cooperative’s Informational and Operational Technology.
Assist with first level support and primarily provide second level support for user, hardware, software, or systems issues and resolve or escalate.
Contribute to the Cooperative’s ongoing Information Technology and Operational Technology needs.
Train and/or assist with training Cooperative users on hardware and software systems.
Proactively manage projects, daily tasks, and support requests.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Deploy, upgrade, and maintain multiple virtual and physical servers and workstations in a VMware and Windows environment.
Manage and maintain IT-related equipment and software, including but not limited to local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), wiring, switches, firewalls, personal computers, peripherals, telecommunications systems, and building surveillance and access systems.
Utilize IT support ticket system to provide first level and second level support and manage, track, document, and resolve support issues.
Perform system analysis, identify, troubleshoot, and resolve network, hardware, software, and any other Technology issues.
Perform and monitor backup jobs, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up. Coordinate and support redundant systems including cloud backup repositories and DRaaS.
Support and maintain cyber and physical security standards and requirements, as well as security solutions including firewall, endpoint protection, email filtering, patching, and intrusion detection systems.
Develop technical assistance materials, including training materials, reference sheets, manuals, procedures, exercises, and visual displays.
To ensure IT needs are met, provide input into development and evaluation of specifications, and assist in the review and management of contracts and agreements. Also provide maintenance support for the Cooperative’s computer and data communications equipment and software, works closely with service vendors to ensure continuity of service.
Document processes, procedures, and operations regarding Information Technology and Operational Technology related equipment.
Assist with maintaining inventory of hardware and software, including software licensing information.
Research technology topics and make recommendations to the Director of Technology and/or VP of Corporate Services for solutions.
Provide input during the evaluation and acquisition process of the Cooperative’s computer and data communications equipment and all associated application software.
Assist with administration activities concerned with the Cooperative’s communication requirements including but not limited to the phone system network, mobile devices, and special communication equipment.
Respond 24/7/365 to infrequent urgent requests and critical issues.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Technical Skills:
Manage and support VMware vSphere and Microsoft Windows environment.
Manage and support Microsoft AD, DHCP, DNS, DFS, GPO, Office 365, Exchange Online, etc.
Manage and support a stable network environment including LAN, WAN, VPN, VoIP, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, etc.
Implement, configure, and manage SaaS systems.
Enhance cybersecurity using SIEM, MFA, IDS, endpoint protection, patching, etc.
Troubleshoot and resolve/repair issues for PCs, mobile devices, software, Windows, etc.
Configure and implement Windows PCs, iPads, iPhones, and other hardware.
Troubleshoot and resolve/repair network issues.
Utilize basic project management methods to see projects through to completion.
Experience with any of the following technologies is a plus: PRTG, VoIP, PowerShell, Veeam, Zerto, ManageEngine Patch Plus, Cisco, Zendesk, Rapid7, AppRiver, KnowBe4, Clevest AVL, NISC.

Perform as a member of the Technology Department and work with all Cooperative departments concerning Information Technology and Operational Technology.

Professionally interact with vendors, support contractors, consultants, member-consumers, and the public.
Education:
Associate degree from an accredited two-year or four-year college or university or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems desired. Three (3) years of experience in a related field will be considered in lieu of education.
(A+, Network+, Security+ or other approved certification attainment required within twelve (12) months of hire.)
Experience:
Incumbents should possess a minimum of three (3) years of experience in an information technology and support environment, preferably a cooperative.
Job Knowledge:
Advanced PC and Windows skills with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems. Basic network understanding and troubleshooting skills.
Experience with NISC Solutions preferred.

Most of the work schedule will be performed at the corporate office in Tasley VA. May require irregular working hours, especially if there is an emergency or crisis. Some overnight, out-of-town and out of state travel is required.
