The Hammondsport Central School District is seeking an outstanding educational leader to fill the position of Superintendent of Schools. The successful candidate will: 

• demonstrate strong leadership ability and is comfortable leading instructional initiatives;
• communicate openly, honestly and effectively with all stakeholders;
• have an understanding of rural education and is an advocate for all children;
• have experience with fiscal management, personnel management and collective negotiations;
• be viewed by the Board and the community as being invested, honest and a person of high integrity;
• have experience in long range planning, goal setting, and facilities projects;
• have a commitment to embed themselves in the community of Hammondsport.

Although residency is not required, investment in the school community is vital. The Board of Education is prepared to offer a contract with a competitive salary based on professional background and educational experience.
