About the Role
As the Facilities Maintenance Superintendent, you’ll be the go-to leader for all things facilities from developing preventive maintenance plans to overseeing contractors and managing critical building systems. You’ll work closely with the Manager of Supply Chain and Facilities Management and serve as the primary point of contact for both internal teams and external service providers.
This role is ideal for a hands-on problem solver with strong technical knowledge, exceptional organizational skills, and a drive for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- What You’ll Do
Building Maintenance & Facility Improvements
Develop, implement, and manage preventive maintenance programs for all campus buildings and systems.
Maintain HVAC systems, cooling towers, chillers, water treatment programs, physical security systems, automated lighting systems, fire alarm and suppression systems, and BMS platforms.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, ADA, environmental, and fire code requirements.
Coordinate security systems support and upgrades.
Manage grounds upkeep and plan facility improvements or upgrades.
Work Order Coordination & Records Management
Oversee space planning, furniture installation, and internal renovations.
Maintain digital records of equipment, systems, and maintenance history.
Support annual operating and capital budget preparation.
Ensure timely response to emergency maintenance needs.
Contractor Supervision & Facilities Support
Schedule, direct, and evaluate performance of outside contractors and maintenance technicians.
Lead facility improvement projects from design to completion.
Train staff in proper use of facility systems.
Communicate with local authorities and internal leadership on facilities-related matters.

Qualifications- What You’ll Bring
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management or related field.
Minimum of 2 years of facilities maintenance experience, including BMS and Crestron Lighting Control Systems, high-efficiency chillers, cooling towers, and water chemistry management. OR
Associate degree or relevant military experience.
Minimum of 5 years of facilities maintenance experience with the systems noted above.
Preferred:
Journeyman HVAC certification on commercial equipment.
