Lead the Beginning of Our Student's Educational Journey
Fort Bragg Unified School District is seeking a collaborative and student-centered leader to serve as the next Principal of Redwood Elementary School, our TK–2 campus where students begin their educational journey.
Redwood is a special place where young learners develop a love of learning while building the academic and social foundations that will support them throughout their lives. Our dedicated staff work closely with families to create a welcoming, nurturing environment where every child is known and supported. We are Looking for a Principal Who
• Understands the developmental needs of TK–2 students and early childhood learning • Communicates clearly and consistently with staff and families • Builds strong relationships and fosters a positive, respectful school culture • Leads collaboratively and values staff voice and teamwork • Establishes fair and consistent systems for student behavior and support • Demonstrates strong organization and problem-solving skills • Supports teachers through coaching and professional learning • Maintains high expectations for student learning and safety • Works effectively with district leadership and community partners
A valid California Administration Credential or a credential of equivalent authorization issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
Minimum of five years of certificated experience in public or private schools.
ABILITY TO:
Follow Board of Education and District policies, as well as school procedures, rules, and regulations.
Demonstrate a concern for student health and safety.
Collaborate with others to fulfill responsibilities related to goals and priorities at the school and district level.
Promote a positive professional image by action, communication, and appearance.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Strong commitment to working with adolescents and the parents and teachers of adolescents.
215 duty days annually

FBUSD schools include Redwood Elementary School (grades PreK - 2), Dana Gray Elementary (grades 3 - 5), Fort Bragg Middle School (grade 6 - 8), Fort Bragg High School (grades 9 - 12) and three alternative schools - Noyo High School (continuation), Lighthouse Community Day School (grades 9 - 12) and Shelter Cove Community Day School (grades 4 - 8).
