POSITION SUMMARY
The School is seeking an experienced, energetic, and enthusiastic educational technologist to join our team for the 2026-2027 academic year. The ideal candidate will be an instructional and pioneering leader with the proven ability to connect and create opportunities and possibilities for program growth and new initiatives. Responsible for teaching students in K-4, through both integration with academic subjects as well as independent classes, the lower school educational technologist also supports professional development for faculty to integrate STEAM skills in their classrooms. As such, the educational technologist works closely with classroom teachers, specialists, and the director of technology to design an innovative curriculum in support of the School’s mission and strategic vision.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and teach a mission-aligned, innovative curriculum, incorporating problem-based learning, robotics, computational and design thinking, and tinkering experiences that allow students to demonstrate complexity of thinking and learning
Work closely with lower school homeroom teachers to teach and support the digital life program
Collaborate effectively with the lower school faculty and administration, director of technology, and department chairon technology-related project development
Integrate interdisciplinary programming across lower school classes
Partner with the lower school team to facilitate professional development sessions and model instructional practices using technology to inspire curriculum and teaching
Lead lower school robotics club
Assist the operations department in providing technical support to faculty by troubleshooting iOS/Mac/Chromebook hardware, software problems, and interactive televisions
Write end of semester student narrative reports aligned to developmentally appropriate standards
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Knowledge of elementary level robotics platforms and their use in the classroom
Bachelor’s degree with significant coursework and/or experience working with elementary aged students in STEAM disciplines
Proficient with Mac platforms as well as learning management systems like Seesaw and Veracross
Familiarity with coding, engineering, robotics, and other design/maker competencies
Comfortable using, maintaining, and troubleshooting makerspace technologies such as 3D printers and laser engravers
Demonstrated commitment to anti-bias education and social justice
Proactive and eager to take initiative in a fast-paced, dynamic environment within the School community and outside the classroom
Excellent oral and written communication skills, and a positive, problem-solving, can-do approach
High emotional intelligence and a sense of humor

SALARY RANGE
Starting Salary Range: $90,000 to $120,000 (salary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience and expertise)
